If you use
the OROS policy manual as your school district board policies then you
will need to place the updates in the manual as described below.
If you use another set of policies as your school districts board
policies and wish to use the OROS updates then you will need to
determine where they need to go and you will probably need to change
the numbering system to match your policies.

Bills requiring policy changes are as
follows (specific instructions in italics):
HB 2854 – Substitute Teachers:
The law was changed to allow a substitute to be in the classroom for up
to 90 days (it had previously been 70). This has been changed in the
OROS policy manual.
Remove

one.
SB 2199 – Felony Records Search:
The law was changed to require a national criminal history records
search to be made on all prospective employees, and to permit such a
search to be made on any current employee. In the OROS manual, he title
of the policy has been changed to “Criminal
History
Record Check” to reflect the change in the type of
search, and the policy language has also been updated in the same
fashion. The index has been changed to reflect the title change.

Children’s Internet Protection Act
