In recognition of the tremendous efforts put forth by OklahomaÌs rural schools to provide their students with quality education in an ever-changing environment, it is with pleasure that the Organization of Rural Oklahoma Schools (OROS) announces the implementation of an annual scholarshi and new this year is "The Perry Willis Scholarship" financed by Mass Group Marketing.

"The Perry Willis Scholarship" is a $1000.00 scholarship awarded to a student in an OROS member school. It will be paid directly to the institution selected by the recipient. The same application process now used for the $500.00 OROS quadrant scholarships will be followed for "The Perry Willis Scholarship".

The Scholarship committee made the following recommendation on awarding the $1000.00 for "The Perry Willis Scholarship": The board approved this procedure.

1. The recipient will be selected from the four quadrant representatives that were chosen to receive the $500.00 "OROS Scholarship".
2. That what ever quadrant the recipient of "The Perry Willis Scholarship" is chosen from the "OROS Scholarship" will be given to the alternate from that quadrant.
3. The recipient of "The Perry Willis Scholarship" will be selected by the officers of OROS.
